Just returned after 4 nights at the hotel. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious, in good decorative order, very clean and comfortable. When we arrived the heating was not working but within10 minutes of asking, James, the manager, had got it fixed. The public rooms are in good order. The food was very good with several choices for each course. Very friendly and cheerful staff.

Took my wife here for one night to celebrate her birthday. We got the superior room with, dinner, bed and breakfast. Great value for money, room was fresh, with great decor and exceptionally clean. Dinner/ breakfast was excellent, staff where very friendly and attentive, the young man in the restaurant and young lady in the bar where particularly friendly and helpful, all together a great night away, will definitely stay again!!!!!
Over all a good place to stay. Staff were polite and friendly. The restaurant did lack a bit of atmosphere. There was no music and everyone was sat there whispering. You could hear a pin drop. We would probably stay here again but maybe have dinner in the town.
Wonderful visit there. The staff were lovely. Rooms were spacious. Only 2 critisms, not sure the cleaner in the morning was very thorough as we never saw the hand soap dispenser filled so we could use it and had to wash our hands via the shower and I wish they would use a better quality of toilet roll. It was a challenge to use it😆
Excellent customer service from receptionist made us feel welcome. Rooms was very clean, kettle with coffee and tea was orovided in the room. Bathroom had hand wash aswell and body wash and shampoo. Can’t comment on food or prices at bar as we went into town would def recommend this hotel

Stayed at this hotel for 3 days, lovely old Victorian building and well kept grounds, friendly staff, high standard of cleanliness, food excellent and entertainment from Gary the music man gave us a great laugh on our final night. 👏
Dog friendly hotel, staff made our young German Shepherd most welcome. He had the time of his life.
